    You will learn about Cornerstone Baptist Church and how you can get connected with your neighborhood church.

    Thanks for joining us here on our website, we are so glad you want to learn more about Cornerstone Baptist Church and how you can get connected with your neighborhood church. We understand your time is valuable and appreciate that you are investing some of it with us. Our First Step Connection Luncheon lasts an an hour and a half as we share with you a little about us so that you can decide if we are the right fit for you and your family. We want you to know what we are doing, why we do it, and where we are heading.

    Even though families who connect to a church do NOT have perfect lives, they are better equipped to deal with all life’s challenges. They CAN do better with their relationships, marriages, parenting, finances, and much, much, more! This is why our goal is to become a neighborhood community center, building up and supporting our neighbors here in Port Saint Lucie.

    In our time together we hope to answer any questions you may have. Whether you are just checking us out or choosing to become a member, we are glad that you are taking THE NEXT STEP. There is a great journey ahead for us as we all build our families together!

    Sunday is Coming (April 23, 2023)

     

    Hello Cornerstone Family,

    “to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’” Acts 26:18 NKJV

    God is working, so keep praying! Pray like never before for our neighbors, friends, and guests that they will continue to think on and respond to the Word of God. Plead with the Lord to protect them from the evil one. Without God working “the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word” of God from their thoughts.

    Pray that they will understand and see their sinfulness, and then that it will trouble them, and finally this will drive them to the free gift of God through Christ our Savior. Pray that their minds will be flooded this week and that they will return to church THIS Sunday. Pray and pray that their eyes will be opened to the gospel!

    Pastor Carl is preaching his message, The Reality of the World’s Hate from John 15:18-27

    “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

    Pizza with the Pastor… this Sunday after our worship gathering we are taking a new step to make a stronger connection with newer guests. It is a light introductory lunch (30-45 minutes) with Pastor Carl for those interested in connecting to Cornerstone. You can ask questions or just enjoy some Christian fellowship.     10:45am Cornerstone Kids:

    A family is made to work together and win together. God gave us a family to teach us how to be a part of a team. A good team works together to win. Your family team has a lot of responsibilities: cleaning, cooking, watching the kids, laundry, bath time, and even more! It’s a long list! Bring your kids Sunday, as we help them learn God’s design for the family.

    Sunday March 12

    THIS SUNDAY…

    9:00 AM Next Step Bible Study: How to Biblically Follow Jesus wk 7

    9:00 AM Middle/High School Bible Study

    10:30 AM Worship

    10:30 AM Cornerstone Kids

    11:45 AM All church/Scouts lunch

    Sunday March 12 is Scout Sunday. Our church has a Scout ministry that meets every Tuesday night on our campus. Pastor Carl is the head of the organization, and each year on scout Sunday we invite the scouts to join us and have a special event which includes worship at our normal 10:30 am time, and then a lunch for the whole church.

    UPDATE: A SMALLER GROUP OF SCOUTS AND FRIED CHICKEN LUNCH INSIDE

    We will be honoring about 10 scouts from the older group this time and expect about 25 guests for this event. Please bring salads and desserts to go along with fried chicken, and like our last event we are asking all of our Cornerstone family to stay for lunch, help with hospitality, and love on the scouts and their families. Remember some may be Christians but there are others that will only know we are Christians by our love. Begin praying for them and ask God to reveal Himself to them in a powerful way.

    7 STEPS TO MATURITY BEGINS MARCH 19th. Are You a Mature Christian? How do you know? Is there a Biblical way to know if you are maturing in the faith? Does God give us a way to measure growth?

    Absolutely! In Seven Steps To Maturity, Randy shares powerful insights from two of Christ’s closest friends, John and Peter. You will be taken back to the clear instructions God gives on how to grow up and please Him. This class will teach you how important it is to mature in the faith God’s way, and how to measure your progress. And also Peter warns you must follow this narrow way. “But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins. So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:9-11 (NLT)

    Because of this great need today, we offer a simple to understand, but Biblical, plan for spiritual maturity. Even though we mostly teach adults in the church, it is hard to see that many are only spiritual infants or children.

    Scout Sunday February 12

     

    Sunday February 12 is Scout Sunday. Our church has a Scout ministry that meets every Tuesday night on our campus. Pastor Carl is the head of the organization, and each year on scout Sunday we invite the scouts to join us and have a special event which includes worship at our normal 10:30 am time, and then a lunch outside afterwards.

    This is where the volunteering comes into play. After pastor preaches the gospel to all of us, we need to help to love on the scout families. Some are Christians, some are not, but are open to come each year and join us on Sunday. We need help with setting up tents and chairs, preparing our lunch and serving it, welcoming the families, and clean up. Yes this is our lunch that we are sharing with the scouts and ask you all to stay if you can. And, we also need some to bring side dishes, salads, etc.

    Anytime we do events like this it makes me think of Christ’s passion for our neighbors. “So the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ 22 And the servant said, ‘Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ 23 And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14)
