    4. The Principle of Forgiveness — Produces Freedom from Bitterness

When we allow bitterness toward those who have offended us to take root, we can become controlled by the very people who hurt us. Bitterness can consume our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even affect our well-being.

Forgiveness does not mean that the offense was acceptable or that justice no longer matters. It means we release the desire for personal vengeance and trust God to deal with the wrong.

When we choose to respond with good rather than evil, we experience freedom because we no longer allow our offender to control our thoughts and emotions. We can leave justice in God’s hands and focus on living faithfully before Him.

“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord… “Therefore if your enemy is hungry, feed him… Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:19–21

Forgiveness breaks bitterness. Trusting God with justice produces freedom.

ACTS2 FELLOWSHIP AT 11 AM – Study Focus: PROTECTED BY THE FATHER’S LOVE!

This Sunday at 11 am… we begin a new study, Protected By The Father’s Love! In this new series of Bible studies we wrestle with some BIG questions.
HOW DOES GOD SHOW HIS PATIENCE? CAN CHRISTIANS RESIST GOD? DOES GOD ALLOW US TO LIVE IN SIN? HOW DOES GOD PROVE HIS LOVE TO US? Change your schedule and join us at 11 am Sunday! “…Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you ; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.” [2 Cor 13:5 (NLT)]

Today because of the ignorance of God’s hatred of sin, and love, power and grace for the Christian, many in the church have no clue to God’s amazing patience toward them. His love without failure; compels, pushes, controls, and empowers the narrow road follower of Jesus to walk in righteousness, not sin. “Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.” [Romans 6:18 (NLT)] Are you protected by God? Discovery the truth Sunday.

HOW DOES GOD SHOW HIS PATIENCE?

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” [1 John 3:9 (NKJV)]

God does not tolerate sin, He frees a real Christian from living in it!

“You make God tired with all your talk. “How do we tire him out?” you ask. By saying, “God loves sinners and sin alike. God loves all.” And also by saying, “Judgment? God’s too nice to judge.” [Mal 2:17 (MSG)]

What sin would God tolerate in a believer? What sins are free to be lived with so God can show tolerance, patience, or love? Paul says NONE!

“NO MORE EXCUSES” MEN’S GROUP BIBLE STUDY BEGINS MONDAY JAN 27 @ 7 PM

Sometimes circumstances in life make it difficult for men to be all God wants them to be.

But Tony Evans urges men to stop looking at their circumstances as excuses and instead to see them as challenges and opportunities for success. Exploring the examples of men of God throughout the Bible, this study will challenge you to lay down your excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment.

Despite your setbacks, failures, and pressures, you can still find purpose, meaning, and direction in life and become the man God has called you to be.
