MISSIONS MONTH 2026

FOUR SUNDAYS. FOUR OPPORTUNITIES. ONE GREAT COMMISSION.

September Sundays — A Month to Go, Give, Pray & Send

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” — Matthew 28:19

September is Missions Month at Cornerstone Baptist Church!

Throughout the month, we will take time to focus our hearts and attention on God’s command to take the Gospel to the nations. Missions isn’t simply something that happens somewhere else—it is part of the calling of every believer and every local church.

During September, we’ll hear from missionaries and ministry representatives, learn how God is working around the world, discover practical ways we can participate in missions, and be challenged to pray, give, go, and help send others.

Our desire is simple:

To see Cornerstone Baptist Church become even more passionate about reaching people with the Gospel—locally, nationally, and around the world.

Come each Sunday ready to hear, learn, pray, and ask God how YOU can be part of His mission.

SEPTEMBER MISSIONS MONTH SCHEDULE

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

Missionary Flights International

Guest Speaker: Clark Zen

We’re kicking off Missions Month with Clark Zen of Missionary Flights International (MFI).

Clark and his wife, Mariel, serve with MFI, an organization dedicated to helping Bible-centered missions by providing transportation and logistical support so missionaries can more effectively serve and share the Gospel.

MFI operates turbine-powered DC-3 aircraft and other aviation resources to serve affiliated missionaries in places including Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. The ministry currently serves more than 600 affiliated missionary groups.

Clark’s own story is a testimony to God’s leading. After serving in the U.S. Navy and working as a nuclear reactor operator, God redirected his path toward missionary aviation. He eventually completed his commercial multi-engine license and joined the MFI staff.

Come hear how God is using aviation to help carry missionaries, supplies, and the hope of the Gospel to communities throughout the Caribbean.

Care Net Pregnancy Services of the Treasure Coast

Caring for Women & Families in Need

Guest Speaker: Representative from Care Net Pregnancy Services of the Treasure Coast

Missions isn’t only about reaching people across the ocean. Sometimes the mission field is right here in our own community.

This Sunday, we will welcome a representative from Care Net Pregnancy Services of the Treasure Coast to share about their ministry and their heart for women and families facing unexpected pregnancies.

Care Net provides free and confidential services, including pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, pregnancy options information, parenting education, practical support, referrals, and support for men and families. Their ministry seeks to meet people with compassion, information, and practical help during what can be a difficult and uncertain season.

This Sunday will challenge us to consider what it means to demonstrate the love of Christ not only through what we say, but also through how we care for people in need.

COME AND HEAR THEIR STORY

Learn how Care Net is serving our local community and discover ways Cornerstone Baptist Church can pray, encourage, give, and become involved.

Missions starts where we are—and God’s love should reach those who need it most.

 Operation Christmas Child

9:30 AM — Guest Representative

This Sunday, Missions Month continues with a special presentation from a representative of Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.

You’ll hear about the ministry of Operation Christmas Child and how simple shoebox gifts can become an opportunity to share the Gospel with children around the world. The ministry works through local churches and volunteers to collect and process shoebox gifts and connect children with the message of Jesus Christ.

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CORNERSTONE

Our guest will also share about local opportunities for Cornerstone Baptist Church to participate in Operation Christmas Child. As a church we have been heavily involved with OCC for over 10 year!

There are many ways to get involved—including packing shoeboxes, praying for children and families, helping with our local collection efforts, volunteering, and encouraging others in our community to participate. Operation Christmas Child has volunteer teams serving year-round in communities across the United States.

This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families, children, and our entire church family to take part in the Great Commission.

ONE SHOEBOX. ONE CHILD. ONE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL.

Come hear how Cornerstone can become even more involved locally and help make an eternal impact around the world.

PRAY. PACK. GIVE. SERVE. SEND.

Called to Go — Called to Serve

9:30 AM Worship Gathering

Guest Speaker: Ray Hutchinson

Missionary Flights International

We will close out Missions Month by hearing from our own Ray Hutchinson, who will share his personal story of God’s calling to missionary aviation and how God led him and his family to move to our area to serve full-time with Missionary Flights International (MFI).

Ray and his wife, Maggie, began their missionary aviation journey after Ray sensed God’s call to pursue missionary aviation full-time. Their journey eventually led them to MFI, where Ray now serves as a pilot and mechanic. The Hutchinson family moved to Florida in 2025 and began working with MFI.

Ray will share how God worked through his life, opened doors, and brought his family to the Treasure Coast to serve in a ministry that helps transport missionaries, supplies, and Gospel resources throughout Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.

GOD STILL CALLS PEOPLE TO GO.

Ray’s testimony will challenge us to consider how God may be calling each of us to participate in His mission.

Maybe God is calling you to go.

Maybe He is calling you to give.

Maybe He is calling you to pray.

Maybe He is calling you to serve right here in our community.

The question is: What is God calling YOU to do?

4KIDS TREASURE COAST INFORMATION TENT

HELPING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES RIGHT HERE IN OUR COMMUNITY

Also on Sunday, September 27, 4KIDS Treasure Coast will have an information tent outside in front of the pavilion.

We encourage everyone to stop by BEFORE AND AFTER the 9:30 AM worship gathering to learn more about 4KIDS and the needs of children and families throughout the Treasure Coast.

4KIDS Treasure Coast serves Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties, working to provide Hope, Homes, and Healing for children, teens, and families. Their ministry includes foster care, family support, CarePortal, therapy, and other services.

There are many ways churches and individuals can become involved, including fostering, volunteering, meeting practical needs, advocating for children, and partnering with 4KIDS.

STOP BY THE 4KIDS TENT!

Before worship — Visit the tent.
After worship — Visit the tent.
Learn. Ask questions. Discover how you can help.

You may discover that God is calling you to make a difference in the life of a child right here in our community.
