    1/ Next Step Class: How To Biblically and Personally Follow Jesus, 8 Week Class – June 4 – July 23, 2023. Led by Randy
    An astounding 4 out of 5 American adults profess to be Christians with half of all questioned claiming to be “born again” Christians. But many surveyed also indicated they rarely attended worship at a church, if they did they did nothing else with the church, did not believe the Bible to be completely true, and did not allow their beliefs to affect their lives. Can all of these people really be Christians?
     
    How To Follow Jesus is an 8-week commitment and lays the Biblical foundation on how to embrace the forgotten Christian culture of fellowship, teamwork and evangelism.
     
    You will learn why so many church people miss heaven, how to make sure you are really born again, how God gives you a new heart, how to turn away from sin, how the Holy Spirit transforms you, how to follow God’s will, how to commit to lasting friendships, how to change your focus to eternal matters, how to change your environment, and how to walk on the narrow way that few find.

    Sunday May 21 New Members Class and Lunch

     

    Register right now for our New Members Lunch Sunday May 21 to discover the foundational steps to participate in the mission and ministry of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Lunch and presentation will last 1.5 hours right after the 10:30 worship gathering.

     

    Why join a local church?

    Many of you are alone and missing one of God’s best gifts.

    1/ Join a church and surround yourself with God’s people
    You will never like heaven filled with God’s people if you can’t stand being with them now. Don’t fool yourself believing you can have a special relationship with God by ignoring what He tells you to do. If you really connect to God you must obey Him.

    “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT

    This only happens when you join a local church! Notice there is no “I”, or “me”, but only “us”, “one another”, “we”, and “meeting together”. You will not be able to experience God and His will if you church hop, shop, or sit home and watch online.

    2/ Join a church and submit to God’s established authority
    Admit it you are following somebody, but where are they taking you? Jesus calls his followers to gather together and submit to His organized leadership.

    “Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.” Hebrews 13:17 NLT

    3/ Join a church to serve God
    Do you know if you are a Christian you have already been greatly gifted by the Holy Spirit with a grace gift for the purpose of using it to help other Christians. And did you know Romans 12:4-8 says you are already a member of the local Christians so what is keeping you from showing God’s love to your eternal family?

    You will learn about Cornerstone Baptist Church and how you can get connected with your neighborhood church.

    Thanks for joining us here on our website, we are so glad you want to learn more about Cornerstone Baptist Church and how you can get connected with your neighborhood church. We understand your time is valuable and appreciate that you are investing some of it with us. Our First Step Connection Luncheon lasts an an hour and a half as we share with you a little about us so that you can decide if we are the right fit for you and your family. We want you to know what we are doing, why we do it, and where we are heading.

    Even though families who connect to a church do NOT have perfect lives, they are better equipped to deal with all life’s challenges. They CAN do better with their relationships, marriages, parenting, finances, and much, much, more! This is why our goal is to become a neighborhood community center, building up and supporting our neighbors here in Port Saint Lucie.

    In our time together we hope to answer any questions you may have. Whether you are just checking us out or choosing to become a member, we are glad that you are taking THE NEXT STEP. There is a great journey ahead for us as we all build our families together!

    Sunday is Coming (April 23, 2023)

     

    Hello Cornerstone Family,

    “to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’” Acts 26:18 NKJV

    God is working, so keep praying! Pray like never before for our neighbors, friends, and guests that they will continue to think on and respond to the Word of God. Plead with the Lord to protect them from the evil one. Without God working “the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word” of God from their thoughts.

    Pray that they will understand and see their sinfulness, and then that it will trouble them, and finally this will drive them to the free gift of God through Christ our Savior. Pray that their minds will be flooded this week and that they will return to church THIS Sunday. Pray and pray that their eyes will be opened to the gospel!

    Pastor Carl is preaching his message, The Reality of the World’s Hate from John 15:18-27

    “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

    Pizza with the Pastor… this Sunday after our worship gathering we are taking a new step to make a stronger connection with newer guests. It is a light introductory lunch (30-45 minutes) with Pastor Carl for those interested in connecting to Cornerstone. You can ask questions or just enjoy some Christian fellowship.     A family is made to work together and win together. God gave us a family to teach us how to be a part of a team. A good team works together to win. Your family team has a lot of responsibilities: cleaning, cooking, watching the kids, laundry, bath time, and even more! It’s a long list! Bring your kids Sunday, as we help them learn God’s design for the family.
